iGoogle Tab Remover Issues

The iGoogle page has been going through some changes recently which have broken the addon. Google has made some changes, but they are rolling them out slowly,  It hasn't hit my account yet.  As soon as it does, I will get working on an update.


  • Uninstall the addon and reinstall it  here.
  • Do not use the minimize tabs feature
    • if your tabs are already minimized you can modify this like this:
      • Open a new tab, in the address bar type
        about:config
        • The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
      • on the filter line type
        iigoogletabremover
      • double click the line that says
        extensions.igoogletabremover.boolTabStrip
        • This will set the value equal to
          true
      • Reload you iGoogle page

This new version redesigned the method for minimizing the iGoogle tab menu which can now be restored from the More menu.

This new version relocates the tab menus above the header, so that there is no longer a line running through the header image in reduced or minimal modes. A custom search box is also added, with an on/off toggle, on the right hand side of the iGoogle tab menu strip. This allows you to use Google to search even in minimal mode. Also added is a link to the support site at the bottom of the menus.

This updated version adds a way to reduce the size of the top header iGoogle Tab Remover 1.8

 

This updated version adds a way to reduce the size of the top header on your iGoogle page. This makes for a much improved interface for netbooks, as the header does not block most of the screen.
The header is toggled through three sizes (Original, Reduced, and Minimal) by clicking on a either a plus (+) or minus(-) sign to the right of the words "iGoogle Tabs". The reduced size leaves the Google search box available, while the minimal size completely hides it. navigation tabs, so you can have more room to browse.

 Description

This extension hides the left tabs (canvas view) for your iGoogle page. It allows you to enable and disable it from the tools menu, at your convenience. This is what we think Google should have done. The full left menu is now implemented.
